This help article is designed for Armanino Access clients. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a mandatory security requirement for logging in and onboarding. MFA adds an extra layer of protection, ensuring that even if your password is compromised, your account remains secure.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up MFA using widely trusted authenticator apps: Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, and Microsoft Authenticator. Each section includes official support resources, video tutorials, and best practices to help you configure your chosen app quickly and correctly.

Before You Begin

1. Ensure you have a mobile device with internet access.

2. Download one of the recommended authenticator apps (Google Authenticator,

1Password, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, Okta Verify) from the App Store or Google

Play. All apps are available for iOS and Android.

General Setup Steps

1. Open your chosen authenticator app.

2. Tap the '+' icon or 'Add Account'.

3. Scan the QR code displayed in Audit Ally or enter the setup key manually.

4. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app into Audit Ally to complete setup.

  • When you are prompted for a code, please note that you will need to re-access the account on your selected app, and you will find the code required to login. You will not be sent a code via the app or text message
