Audit Ally allows auditors to manage request lists efficiently by completing actions in bulk. Instead of updating requests one at a time, auditors can edit or delete multiple requests simultaneously—saving time and streamlining engagement management.

All auditors have access to bulk actions, and there is no limit to the number of requests that can be edited or deleted within a request list.

Bulk actions are available directly within an engagement and include Bulk Edit and Bulk Delete options.

Bulk Edit Requests

Bulk Edit allows auditors to apply updates across multiple requests at once. Using this function, you can:

  • Change due dates

  • Assign or reassign auditors

  • Assign or update client owners

  • Change lock status

  • Change request priority

How to Bulk Edit Requests

  1. Navigate to the engagement you want to update.

  2. Select the Requests tab.

  3. On the right side of the page, open Auditor Tools and select Bulk Edit Requests.

  4. Select the requests you want to update.

  5. Toggle on the bulk actions you want to apply. You can select one or multiple edit options.

    • When assigning auditors or client owners, you can assign one or multiple people.

  6. Select Preview Changes to Requests to review the selected requests and proposed updates.

  7. If everything looks correct, select Bulk Edit Requests to apply the changes.

    • You can cancel at any time to make adjustments and preview again.

Once the bulk edit is completed, a success message will confirm that the changes have been applied. If additional updates are needed, you can repeat the same workflow to make further bulk changes.

Bulk Delete Requests

Auditors can also delete multiple requests at once using the Bulk Delete function.

How to Bulk Delete Requests

  1. From the Requests tab, open Auditor Tools.

  2. Select Bulk Delete Requests.

  3. Choose the requests you want to delete.

  4. Select Preview Requests to Delete to review your selection.

  5. Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the requests.

After the deletion is complete, a success message will confirm that the selected requests have been removed.

Important Notes About Deleting Requests

  • Requests that contain client data can be deleted, but deletions cannot be undone. Ensure any client data you want to retain has been saved before deleting a request.

  • Population requests that have linked sample requests cannot be deleted on their own.

    • Sample requests must be remapped or deleted first.

    • If both the population request and its sample requests are selected together, they can be deleted in a single bulk action.
